Los diseños de Pierre Cardin con los que seguiremos soñando por siempre

El modisto de 98 años falleció este martes y sus diseños futurista, sus vestidos globo y su modelos prêt-à-porter seguirán siempre vigentes.

Pierre Cardin fue un auténtico visionario en su momento y hoy, este grande la moda partió a una vida mejor. El modisto francés falleció a los 98 años pero sus diseños futuristas, prendas unisex y modelos prêt-à-porter seguirán vivos por siempre.

“Creo que mis iniciativas nunca han sido errores. Si comienzo con una nueva experiencia, es porque nunca estoy satisfecho conmigo mismo. Necesito darle interés a mi vida e intentar avanzar en esta profesión que tanto amo”, dijo Cardin en los años 60 cuando lo apartaron de la industria de la alta costura por sus ideas pateadoras del tablero.

En 1946, el diseñador Christian Dior lo contrató como sastre en su flamante tienda de París y desde ese momento comienzan a transitar un camino juntos. En 1950 Cardin funda su propia empresa y comenzó a diseñar máscaras y vestuario para el teatro.

En 1960 Cardin lanza su primera colección masculina llamada “Cylindre” (Cilindro) presentada por 250 estudiantes franceses. Ese mismo año crea el departamento de prêt-à-porter masculino de moda y complementos.

Su colección Cosmocorps, de 1964, era con acabados metalizados e inspirada en el espacio; son muchas las piezas del modisto que merecen ser recordadas siempre. Uniformes futuristas de enfermeras y los looks para los Beatles son solo algunos ejemplos de su genio creativo.
